Refunds & Cancellation

Refunds
All purchases (plans and extra usage) are final, and we don't offer refunds, except where the law requires it. If you have a problem with a payment or any questions about a charge, email support@use-a2e.com from the email address on your A2E account. We're happy to help. We can't issue a refund while a payment dispute is open with your bank.
If a payment on your plan is refunded in full, or your bank disputes or asks about any payment to A2E, your plan ends and your account moves to the Free plan. While a dispute is open, we can't take a new payment from you.
Changing plans
Upgrades are charged right away: the new plan's price, minus a credit for the time left on your current plan. Your billing date moves to the day you upgrade. Downgrades start at the end of the period you've already paid for. Nothing is charged until then, and the time left on your current plan isn't refunded. You can undo a downgrade any time before it starts. Plan changes need a card issued in the US and a US billing address. Plan changes may be paused at times; when they are, the pricing page says so.
Account credit
If the credit for the time left on your current plan is more than the new plan's price, the rest stays on your account as credit toward your future A2E plan bills. It's never refunded to your card. It stays if you cancel. Once your account is permanently deleted, 30 days after you delete it, it can no longer be used or refunded. If a payment on your plan is refunded in full, or your bank disputes or asks about any payment to A2E, your plan ends and any account credit is removed.
Cancelling
You can cancel anytime from Settings > Plan & billing in your dashboard. You keep your plan until the end of your current billing period, then move to the Free plan and won't be charged again. The rest of that period isn't refunded. If you have a downgrade waiting, undo it first.
Extra usage
Extra usage you buy can't be refunded or exchanged for cash. It never expires, and it only works on Pro and Max: if you move to Free, it's kept but can't be used until you're back on a paid plan. If a payment for extra usage is refunded, or your bank disputes or asks about it, what's left of it is removed.
Deleting your account
Cancel any paid plan before you delete your account, and undo any downgrade that's waiting. If your last payment failed, you can delete without cancelling: you tick a box to confirm that deleting also cancels your subscription and its unpaid bill. Once the deletion is final, 30 days later, your plan, any extra usage and any account credit are gone, and they aren't refunded. If a checkout you started before deleting still goes through afterwards, what it bought is cancelled and any payment taken is refunded in full.
