Why didn't the answer use the part of the page I meant?

What’s happening

A2E reads the page's text from the top, up to about 6,000 characters, plus anything you've selected. On a long page, the part you mean may be past what it reads.

What to do

  1. Select the part you're asking about: click at the start of it and drag to the end.

    The text is highlighted.

  2. Press your shortcut.

    The pill says "Listening".

  3. Ask your question, for example "What does this paragraph mean?", then press your shortcut again to send.

A2E reads your selection first, ahead of the rest of the page.

Still not working?

Keep a selection to a few paragraphs: A2E reads up to about 2,000 characters of it. A2E also skips text the page has hidden, like collapsed sections, so open those before you ask. Text shown inside a box from another website, such as some embedded posts, isn't read. A2E's screenshot shows only what's on your screen, so scrolling the part you mean into view before you press your shortcut helps too.
